SMEI Awards

SMEI encourages excellence and dedication by supporting awards to those who practice the highest standards and make significant contributions to the organization and the profession.

Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award™ (DSMA™), honors outstanding members in SMEI communities who have positively contributed to the profession and their community.  The DSMA™ awards are given out annually by SMEI affiliate chapters. Visit our DSMA™ website for further details.

Order of the Bell is awarded to SMEI members who excel in recruiting the most new members to the organization during the past year, or cumulatively over the course of their careers.  The ‘Order of the Bell’ awards are presented annually at SMEI's Marketing & Leadership Summit.

Marketing Excellence Awards are given annually during SMEI’s Annual Sales & Marketing Leadership Summit. (Download Nomination Form Here)They include:

Marketing Statesman of the Year, honoring a chief executive officer for a product or service.

Excellence in Marketing, honoring a company that has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the competitive marketplace.

Educator of the Year, honoring meritorious contributions to sales and marketing education at the university level.

Tops in Marketing, honoring a company that has achieved outstanding success in marketing a product or service.

Academy of Achievement Pinnacle Awards.  The SMEI Academy of Achievement Sales & Marketing Hall of Fame was established in 1990 to recognize notable lifetime contributions to the free enterprise system through personal and corporate success in sales and marketing. It is SMEI’s Hall of Fame, honoring those whose qualities of professionalism, ethical standards, leadership, and excellence have made the free enterprise system work and made the world a better place to live.

Each year, honorees are selected by an international board of trustees for induction into the International Achievement Hall of Fame. Nominees must be business executives of high moral character who have played a major role in the success of their company through leadership in the support of sales and marketing.

One person also is named Ambassador of Free Enterprise as a communicator in sales and marketing. One posthumous honoree may be selected each year. A display of portraits and information about the inductees is maintained in the Academy's Hall of Fame at Enterprise Square USA in Oklahoma City. SMEI Chairman’s Award, honoring affiliate chapters for achieving desirable operational outstanding contributions to his or her firm’s effort and the national economy.  The Chairman's Awards are presented at SMEI's Annual Sales & Marketing Leadership Summit.

Operation Excellence, honors affiliate chapter executive directors who achieve excellence and administration and operations.  The Operation Excellence award is presented annually at SMEI's Annual Sales & Marketing Leadership Summit.

Membership Bell, honors affiliate chapters who achieve positive growth in membership year over year.  The Membership Bell awards are presented annually at SMEI's Sales & Marketing Leadership Conference.
